Dear colleagues,

Cardiovascular disease is still the leading cause of death globally hence countries all over the world need to evolve in  cardiovascular disease management, including Indonesia. General practitioners, internists, and cardiologists all play an important role in the management of cardiovascular diseases, especially in emergency and life-threatening condition. To provide high quality cardiovascular care, it is our duty as medical professionals to update and expand our knowledge as well as skills in the latest advances in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases from the experts.

Continuing Medical Education in collaboration with The Indonesian Society of Internal Medicine, The Indonesian Cardiocerebrovascular Society (ICS) and Cardiology Division, Internal Medicine Department, Faculty of Medicine University of Indonesia-Cipto Mangunkusumo National Referral Hospital will be holding the annual scientific meeting, Holistic Approach in Cardiovascular Disease  (HOPECARDIS) XV, at Shangri-la hotel, Jakarta, on April 1st - 3rd 2016.

In the upcoming event we will look at the recent advances in cardiovascular sciences and their applications in clinical practice. We will share our experience over the years in interventional cardiology in Cipto Mangunkusumo National Referral Hospital with Holistic Approach on Cardiovascular Disease in Primary Care as this year’s topic. Our panel of experts include other medical specialties such as endocrinologists, nephrologists, pediatric cardiologists, neurologists and cardio-thoracic surgeons who will be joining in the event as speakers to bring in a more holistic atmosphere of cardiovascular disease management.

Our Special Session in Hopecardis this year is our first ever Debate session on the Topic "Pros and Cons of Antiplatelets Use as a Primary Prevention". As we know, antiplatelet use as a primary prevention therapy is still a huge controversy all over the world. In this session we will hear opinion by our experts including current literature and their vast experiences.

HOPECARDIS workshops will be held in Shangri-la Hotel, consisting of electrocardiography, basic echocardiography, doppler vascular and many more. It is a privilege to work together with the experts in this field.
