Weakness and muscle pain are common symptoms of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) that can severely affect patients' quality of life. However, conducting a proper workup of these symptoms may prove to be challenging for physicians, especially in terms of cost feasibility and diagnostic tool availability. This case report describes the case of a 15-year-old female patient with SLE who presented with walking difficulties due to weakness in her right foot. Muscle ultrasonography and electromyography evaluations confirmed the diagnosis of peripheral neuropathy, with a possible muscle tissue involvement in the form of myopathy. The patient responded well to a physical rehabilitation regimen, with noticeable improvements mainly in her motor capabilities. This report highlights the importance of a timely, practical, thorough, and appropriate workup for patients with SLE who exhibit symptoms associated with nerve or muscle tissue involvement. © 2020 Nova Science Publishers, Inc..
